Ella Riley Adler, 15, tragically died on Saturday afternoon off the coast of Miami's Nixon Beach after being struck by a boat in a horror hit and run, while she was water skiing for a friend's birthday.

John Paul Miller, 44, (left and inset) gave an emotional 20-minute speech at a memorial service for his estranged wife Mica Miller (right) at Solid Rock Ministries in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mica, 30, was found dead in Lumbee River State Park in North Carolina on April 27 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She took her own life days after serving her husband with divorce papers, and police ruled it a suicide. Miller told mourners he visited her body in the morgue four times in the week since she died. Solid Rock posted video of the eulogy on Saturday and hundreds of viewers were unnerved by Miller's apparent 'fake and sad act of damage control'.

Steve Buscemi fans have called on New York City cops after the star became the second Broadwalk Empire cast member to be randomly attacked on the street in weeks, stating 'NYC is out of control'. This is the shocking moment a suspected female morality police officer attacked a screaming teenager and forced her to the ground. Pilot Asim Jawad, 32, appeared to be attempting a Top Gun-like stunt with three aileron rolls at low altitude when the fuselage of his Yakovlev Yak-130 scraped along the tarmac. CCTV shows smoke and sparks erupting from the Russian-made jet before Jawad pulled up from the runway in Chattogram, Bangladesh, on May 9. But a fire had already broken out in the rear of the jet and Bangladesh Air Force pilot Jawad and his co-pilot Wing Commander Sohan Hasan Khan both ejected. Both pilots reportedly landed in the Karnaphuli River and were rescued alive by members of the air force, navy and local fishermen, but Jawad later died in hospital, while Khan remains in critical condition.

NEW A senior politician was jailed for 24 years in Kazakhstan today over a brutal eight-hour beating of his wife. Saltanat Nukenova, 31, died of brain trauma after the vicious attack by her husband Kuandyk Bishimbayev, 44, a former Economy Minister in the oil-rich state. He was charged with torturing and murdering his astrologer wife, but he denied he deliberately killed her in a restaurant in Astana, the country's capital. 

Dozens of students walked out of Duke University's graduation ceremony in protest of commencement speaker Jerry Seinfeld. As the comedian was introduced, video shows students carried flags and chanted 'free Palestine' as they marched out of Wallace Wade Stadium on Sunday. A flyer distributed on campus said, 'When you see students walking out, follow them.'

A distraught mom revealed how her teen son almost died after his religious cross necklace electrocuted him 'like a hot coil' in a freak accident that left the jewelry scorched into his flesh. Danielle Davis, 38, was awoken by a piercing scream coming from her son Rayce Ogdahl's room on the night of April 30. The mom-of-six went to investigate, before she was met with the horrific sight of her 16-year-old son covered in 'scorched burns' across his neck. Rayce told his mom that he had been electrocuted by his own necklace after the cross chain came into contact with an exposed prong of a plug. Shocking photos show Rayce's neck and collarbone charred black with the imprint of his chain seared onto his red raw skin.

As squatters continue to hijack homes and buildings across the United States, some are growing so emboldened that they even rent out the captive houses on short-term rental platforms like Airbnb. Hired by embattled homeowners to try to flush illegal residents from their properties, Shelton said has come across squatters who use Airbnb, first to access the house, then to rent it out. Shelton said that Airbnb needs to take more responsibility and begin vetting their users.
